Be it Easter, Mid Summer, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's Eve or Wassail Time, you'll always find the landlady leading the fun with the best of them. And during the Christmas and New Year period, a whole range of entertainers dropped in, including carol singers, mummers players and as a special treat, the local Isca Morrismen who perform each lunchtime on Boxing Day.

In come we, the Isca Mummers with a little number collected locally . . . . . . and I'll fight the heathen turk with my trusty chair by my side . . . . .

. . . but look 'e here - it's the fairy off the xmas tree - put him down you don't know where he's been, try the turkish knight instead !

. . . well performance over, let's party . . .

. . . well you did say the drinks were on the house !!

And some time later, after the lord mayor's show, it's another lot, this time the Forest Mummers . . . .

In comes I, again, to have another go

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and at some time later, the celebrations continued . . .

Let's begin (and ladies please don't ask what I'm going to do with these prize leeks!)

well here's good health . . . . . . . . . . . . hang on a mo, Alfie's drunk ours

. . . . . . . . . . . . what a night so far . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and we've only just started

. . . . . . don't forget us lot over here in the corner . . .

cheers everyone . . .

and finally, a quick sprinkling of snaps from new year's eve . . .

ladies and gentlemen, the festivities begin well I'm ready . . .

. . . . . . and after a good evenings entertainment, it's time to celebrate properly . . . . . .

. . . with a happy new year!
